24 Hour Notice Policy
Dr. Porto & Dr. Ezell kindly asks that all patients give a 24 hour notice of cancellation of an appointment to avoid being charged for the missed visit.
The doctors have made a commitment to timeliness and efficiency. They have a limited number of patient visits per day, so that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This commitment is not without cost.
The policy of charging for missed appointments not canceled or rescheduled at least a strict 24 hours in advance, though formerly infrequently enforced, is being universally applied. The doctors commitment to their patients remains the same. Committed to providing the quality care you deserve, they hope that this brief explanation of the universal application of their missed appointment policy is received in the spirit with which it is intended.
If circumstances beyond your control prevent you from being able to reschedule your appointment in a timely manner, please feel free to request that your account be credited charges incurred, and please be prepared to provide documented proof.
The intention is not to apply this policy unfairly, but to encourage all patients to help Dr. Porto and Dr. Ezell to provide quality care in a timely and efficient manner.
